Valley Wide Help Compiles List of Dates, Locations to Sign Up for Holiday Toys for Tots

Valley Wide Help, an information and referral program of the American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley, has compiled a list of agencies accepting registrations for the Toys for Tots program this year:

The Salvation Army -- For all The Salvation Army locations, you must bring: photo ID (photo/driver's license), proof of residence (rent receipt or lease, utility bill), proof of income (paystubs, Social Security check, welfare receipt, unemployment/disability receipt, child support); social security cards for each family member, birth certificates for each child 12 and under.

Schuylkill-Carbon Marine Corps League. Sign up at The Salem Bible Fellowship Church, 1105 Frederick's Grove Road, Lehighton; contact Cheryl Laub at 570-386-2129. Serving residents of Carbon County; will also take applications from Tamaqua residents after their sign-up dates as along as they have not registered with The Salvation Army of Tamaqua. Sign-up dates: Nov. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19; Dec. 2 and 3, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Families First, 1620 Teels Road, Pen Argyl; 610-863-3688. Assistance to families and persons residing within the Pen Argyl School District and who have not signed up with The Salvation Army Pen Argyl. Sign up anytime.

Slater Family Network, 363 Five Points Richmond Road, Bangor; 610-599-7019. Assistance to persons residing within the Bangor Area School District. Sign-up dates: Oct. 1-27 for children ages preschool to 12.
