The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley is holding five Lifeguard Training classes in June and July.

-- June 1 - 5, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. , at Muhlenberg College in Allentown;

-- June 5, from 5 - 9 p.m., June 6 and 7, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., and June 8 - 12, from 5 - 9 p.m., at Coplay Pool in Coplay;

-- June 8 - 12, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., at Muhlenberg College in Allentown;

-- June 15 - 19, 22 - 26, from 4 - 8 p.m., at Heil Pool in Easton;

-- July 6 - 10, 13 - 17, from 8:30 - 11 a.m., at Weona Park in Pen Argyl.

Cost is $220. Candidates must meet minimum age of 15 before last day of class and successfully complete swimming skills pre-test on the first day of class.


The American Red Cross is holding two Lifeguard Training Review classes in June:

-- June 1 - 5, from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., at Muhlenberg College in Allentown;

-- June 8 - 12, from 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m., at Muhlenberg College in Alentown.


Cost is $190. Candidates must successfully complete a swimming skills pre-test on the first day of class and must have successfully completed an American Red Cross Lifeguarding course within the last 4 years and a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer course within the last 2 years. Participant must show proof of prior training.
