Shelter Opened to Residents Evacuated from Bridle Path Woods Apartments Early This Morning

BETHLEHEM, Pa., March 11, 2008 - The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley will open an overnight shelter at Hanover Township Community Center, 3660 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem, at 6 p.m. today for residents unable to return to their homes at Bridle Path Woods apartments in Hanover Township.

As many as 50 units at the complex are affected. The total number of individuals affected was not available from the complex's management.

Cots and blankets will be set up at the center. Dinner, snacks, beverages and other amenities will be available at the shelter which will be staffed around-the-clock by the Red Cross.

The shelter will remain open until all needs are met.
