Jim Thorpe Resident Elected to Board

Frank Maguire of Jim Thorpe was elected to the board of directors for the American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley. Maguire joins 26 other key community and business leaders who serve on the board.

“With great pleasure, we welcome Frank to our outstanding volunteer leadership team,” said Bob McGovern, chairman of the board. “Frank brings new ideas and strength to our board, especially in support of our Carbon County service area. He is a tremendous asset.”

A native of Philadelphia, Maguire retired from Volkswagen of America where he held the positions of executive vice president of North American Operations and president of Brand Volkswagen. Prior to joining Volkswagen, he was the former owner and president of Frank Maguire Ford in Pittsburgh.

He is a graduate of LaSalle University in Philadelphia, and did post graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Chicago and Harvard University.
Maguire is an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Jim Thorpe and the Blue Ridge Country Club in Palmerton. He is married and has two adult children.
