The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley board of directors unanimously approved the election of officers at its Sept. 26 board meeting in Bethlehem.

Officers elected for a one-year team:

Chairman: George Hlavac, attorney and chairman of the labor and employment department, at Tallman, Hudders & Sorrentino

Vice Chair: Scott Friedman, president and COO, swb&r

Secretary: Dawn Washington, director of the Ways to Work Family Loan Program at Family Answers, Inc.

Treasurer: Peter Brown, vice president-sales program manager, at Harleysville National Bank

The following individuals were newly elected to the board for a three-year term at the chapter’s Sept. 18 annual meeting: Bill Coles, retired vice president of data and operations at Dunn & Bradstreet; Jon Conrad, director of human resources at Moravian College; Jack Gross, partner and chair of the media law practice group, and member of the commercial transactional group, at Gross, McGinley, LaBarre & Eaton, LLP; Ronnie Hess, esquire and shareholder at Tallman, Hudders & Sorrentino; Warren Hilton, associate dean of student development and director of co-curricular leadership programs at Moravian College; and Joe Stockunas, general manager-electronics equipment at Air Products and Chemicals.

Youth board representative elected to a one-year term: Robin Aguila, senior at Allentown Central Catholic High School.
