Resolve to Donate Blood in 2008

Make giving blood a New Year's resolution. Visit the American Red Cross blood drives on the following dates and locations in Carbon County in January 2008:

Friday, Jan. 4, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., Nesquehoning Recreation Center, 353 West Railroad Street, Nesquehoning. (Red Cross is giving all presenting donors a free long-sleeve T-shirt and the opportunity to win free VISA gift cards.);

Friday, Jan. 11, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Split Rock Resort, Lake Harmony.

Anyone who is at least 17 years old, who weighs at least 110 pounds, and is healthy may give blood or platelets.
