Volunteers Recognized at April 21 Luncheon Sponsored by Carrabba's Italian Grill

The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley will pay special tribute to its nearly 350 Red Cross volunteers in Lehigh and Northampton counties on Thursday, April 21, in recognition of National Volunteer Week.
A luncheon will be held at Carrabba’s Italian Grill in Allentown, from noon to 2 p.m., for 90 volunteers. This is the sixth year that the staff at Carrabba’s has volunteered their time and talent to prepare and serve a full-course meal free of charge to the Red Cross.
Red Cross volunteers will be recognized for their contributions, years of service and dedication to the Red Cross. Addressing the group will be Red Cross Board Chairman Joe Stockunas, Executive Director John Hughes and Director of Volunteer and Community Services Bob Duld.
Parkland High School music department students Amanda Ibrahim, Joanathn Meckes and Julia Wade will provide entertainment. Residents of Arden Courts Alzheimer’s Assisted Living created special table favors for each volunteer.
The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley serves more than 660,000 residents of Carbon, Lehigh and Northampton counties. Last year the Red Cross provided health and safety education training; Lifeline, a personal response service for seniors; and emergency relief to more than 20,000 Greater Lehigh Valley residents.
