As hundreds of thousands of residents in the Gulf Coast region try to make sense of the devasation caused by Hurricane Katrina, the American Red Cross is there providing for their immediate emergency needs. Thousands of Red Cross volunteers are providing food, shelter, and bottled water to weary residents.
