A field of 136 golfers drove, chipped and putted their way through near-perfect weather in support of the 23rd Annual American Red Cross Tune-Up Classic Golf Tournament held yesterday (5/9) at Brookside Country Club. The tournament is one of the longest-standing golfing events in this area.

Local Legg Mason offices and Legg Funds of Maryland returned as the major tournament sponsors.

“Fund-raising events like this provide money for disaster relief assistance such as shelter, clothing, shoes and meals for people affected by fire or other disaster at their home,” said Brad Greenawald of Legg Mason, tournament chairman. "It also supports a wide range of programs and services to keep Greater Lehigh Valley families safe and healthy. "People come back year after year to play. It’s a fun occasion for a very beneficial cause. So, whether you donated, putted, sponsored or volunteered, we thank you.”
