| Red Cross Announces Upcoming Health & Safety Classes for January and February | ![]() |
Adult CPR - Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This course is designed
for individuals who need adult CPR training only. The course uses hands-on
skills training to prepare participants to respond to breathing and cardiac
emergencies in adults. Included in the course is training in the use of
Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). This course applies to victims over 8
years of age.
Fee: $40
Adult CPR with First Aid - Jan. 7, from 9 a.m.. to 5 p.m. The
class covers first aid and adult CPR and training in the use of Automated
External Defibrillators (AEDs). This course applies to victims over 8 years
of age.
Fee: $55
Infant & Child CPR - Jan. 16, from 6 p.m.. to 10 p.m., and Jan.
17, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.; must attend both evenings. Designed for childcare
providers, teachers, parents and others who care for children, this course
teaches how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies and how
to use the EMS system effectively. Participants take home a refresher skills
card as well as information about preventing injuries. This course applies to
infants and children up to 8 years of age. Training in the use of Automated
External Defibrillation (AED) for children will be covered in this course.
Infant and Child CPR does not include first aid training.

Classes will be held at the Red Cross office located at 129 N. First Street, Lehighton. Textbooks are included in the price of the courses and will be distributed on the day of the class.

8:30 a.m. to noon. Registration is payable by check to "American Red Cross" or
credit card (MasterCard, VISA or American Express).
