Adult CPR with First Aid - Nov. 21, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Nov. 22, from 6
p.m. to 9 p.m. (must attend both evenings). The class covers first aid and
adult CPR and training in the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
This course applies to victims over 8 years of age.
Fee: $55
Babysitter's Training - Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This course will provide
individuals ages 11-15 with the information and skills necessary to provide safe
and responsible care for children in the absence of a parent. Students will
develop skills in five main areas: leadership, safety and safe play, basic care,
first aid, and professionalism. This course does not include training in CPR.
Fee: $40
First Aid Basics - Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will become
familiar with how to recognize and care for victims of illness and sudden
injuries. This class does not include CPR/AED.
Fee: $36
Classes will be held at the Red Cross office located at 129 N. First Street, Lehighton. Textbooks are included in the price of the courses and will be distributed on the day of the class.
