Due to the agency’s ongoing focus on Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, the American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley will postpone its Sept. 27 annual meeting.

The business portion of the annual meeting is rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m., at the Red Cross, 2200 Avenue A, Bethlehem. The meeting will include comments by outgoing Chairman Joseph Stockunas and incoming Chairman Robert McGovern, the 2004-2005 year-end fiscal report, and recognition of outgoing and incoming board members.

The awards and recognition portion of the annual meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Allentown Symphony Hall, 23 N. Sixth Street, Allentown. National and local Red Cross awards and recognition will be given to Red Cross volunteers and local businesses, organizations and institutions that have provided significant support or provided outstanding training in lifesaving skills in their workplace.
