Chapter Announces Promotions, Addition of Business Development Position

The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley recently announced the following promotions and addition to its staff:
Stephen Vetrano, senior director of programs and general services, was promoted to deputy executive director. Vetrano, who has been with the chapter for seven years, will oversee emergency services, health and safety services, volunteer services, business development and the Lifeline program, as well as the operation of the Red Cross Carbon County branch office in Lehighton.
Vetrano holds a master’s degree in business administration from Penn State University and a bachelor’s degree in communications and business from Manhattan College. He is a graduate of Leadership Lehigh Valley and serves as a board member and secretary of Victory
House of the Lehigh Valley and on the management team for the Special Olympics Eastern Pennsylvania Sectionals. He previously worked with the American Red Cross in New York City before relocating to Allentown.
Joy Zukauskas, manager of health and safety services, was promoted to director of health and safety services. Zukauskas joined the Red Cross in 1997 and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wilkes University. She is a Leadership Lehigh Valley graduate and previously served on the boards of the Whitehall Music Parents Association, Coplay Recreation and Welfare, and Coplay Library. She is a resident of Coplay.
Jeff Dean, formerly of WLVT Channel 39, was hired to fill the newly created position of business development manager for the Red Cross. His responsibilities include increased revenue generation through the promotion of Red Cross programs and services in the tri-county area. Dean resides in Allentown.
The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley serves more than 660,000 residents in Lehigh, Northampton and Carbon counties. Last year the Red Cross provided health and safety education training and emergency relief services to more than 20,000 Greater Lehigh Valley residents.
