A record field of 136 golfers drove, chipped and putted their way through July-like temperatures in support of the 22nd Annual American Red Cross Tune-Up Golf Classic held yesterday (5/10) at Brookside Country Club. The tournament is one of the longest-standing golfing events in this area.

Legg Mason Funds of Baltimore, Md., and local Legg Mason offices returned for the fifth year as the major tournament sponsors.

“Fund-raising events like this provide money for disaster relief assistance such as shelter, clothing, shoes and meals for people affected by fire or other disaster at their home,” said Brad Greenawald, tournament chairman. "It also supports a wide range of programs and services to keep Greater Lehigh Valley families safe and healthy.

"People come back year after year to play. It’s a fun occasion for a very beneficial cause. So, whether you donated, putted, sponsored or volunteered, we thank you.”
