This course prepares instructor candidates to present information at community sessions to help the public learn skills to prevent HIV infection. Candidates will learn to effectively facilitate skill-building activities that involve task groups, role-play, brainstorm, teach-backs, demonstration and practice. Prerequisites: All Participants must hold a current
Fundamentals of Instructor Training or current instructor certificate,
from another American Red Cross program, and must hold a current certification for HIV/AIDS Starter
Facts. Facts Practice is now an optional course. It is no longer a prerequisite
for this course.
