HIV/AIDS Education & Prevention Instructor Course


This course prepares instructor candidates to present information at community sessions to help the public learn skills to prevent HIV infection. Candidates will learn to effectively facilitate skill-building activities that involve task groups, role-play, brainstorm, teach-backs, demonstration and practice.

Prerequisites: All Participants must hold a current Fundamentals of Instructor Training or current instructor certificate, from another American Red Cross program, and must hold a current certification for HIV/AIDS Starter Facts. Facts Practice is now an optional course. It is no longer a prerequisite for this course.
