The American Red Cross was founded by Clara Barton during the Civil War. Her compassion and determination were expressed in active volunteer service then and continues today in our mission by honoring her work through the Clara Barton Society -- recognizing individuals or couples who demonstrate an annual financial commitment of at least $1,000 in support of the humanitarian work of our local chapter.
Membership in the Clara Barton Society recognizes total annual giving in support of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter. All gifts -- cash contributions, securities, and/or property -- are acknowledged toward membership in the Society.
Society members receive a special newsletter four times a year and an invitation to the annual reception honoring the generosity of Society members and celebrating the efforts of the campaign cabinet. Society members will not receive any additional solicitations after their annual commitment to the Clara Barton Society.
For additional information or to receive a pledge card to indicate your commitment, please contact Sandy Gaspar, director of development at 610-865-4400, ext. 258 or at GasparS@usa.redcross.org.
